Maryhill Health CentreMaryhill and Springburn MSP Bob Doris has welcomed the opening of the new Maryhill Health and Care Centre – a £12.4m investment in Maryhill by the SNP government.

The new facility will provide improved access to a range of services, including three GP practices, physiotherapy, dental and mental health services.

NHS funding is at a record high under the SNP despite the Scottish Government’s budget being slashed by the Tories.

Commenting, Bob Doris MSP said: “This new health centre will bring a wide range of health services into one state of the art facility on the doorsteps of people in Maryhill. It’s a fantastic investment in the community and will allow our hard working NHS staff to deliver a first class service.

“Health spending and NHS staff are up under the SNP, A&E performance is consistently the best in the UK and satisfaction with the NHS is highest in Scotland – while the SNP has refused to engage in the pointless confrontations with junior doctors seen in England.

“The SNP are absolutely committed to the NHS – and this new facility is a prime example of this investment paying off.”
