A constituent contacted me concerned about the human rights of the LGBT+ community in Poland. I am happy to express my solidarity with LGBT+ people in Poland.
I have also signed a motion in the Scottish Parliament on this matter, which has also been supported by a number of parliamentarians. You can see this at https://www.parliament.scot/parliamentarybusiness/28877.aspx?SearchType=Advance&ReferenceNumbers=S5M-22451
It is right for elected representatives to stand up for human rights, both here and around the world. Furthermore, I hope Polish LGBT+ people feel welcomes in Scotland and I am pleased you have decided to reside here. Scotland is, and must remain, a welcoming place for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender, skin colour, accent or country of origin.
